Plot
The second part of the trilogy chronicling the rise and fall of Hong Kong’s top corrupt official. The new Police Commissioner reports his duty and finds Lee Rock(Andy Lau) as the Chief Chinese Detective is actually the most powerful person in the entire Police force. He promotes Lee to the rank of inspector. Lee realizes this promotion is actually the maneuver of his surrender of power.
In the aspect of his family, Ha (Chingmy Yau) arrival to Hong Kong coincides with the time polygamy was being abolished in Hong Kong. In order to avoid being the third party between Lee and his wife Grace (Sharla Cheung), she chooses to bring their son Yin away, and settled in Australia. Rose works hard to raise Yin.
Subsequently, ICAC is formed, Lee decides it is the right time to resign, for he becomes a major figure with an estimated wealth of HK$500 million.
