Plot
It is the year 1938.Tension is in the air as China is in the throes of an impending war with Japan. Lau Tin-Wai (Andy Lau) is a fighter pilot in the Chinese air force who is forced to ditch in a field; he is taken in by the remote community of farmers who nurse him back to health, here he meets Ting Siu-Wo( Jacklyn Wu), a young woman who falls in love with him. Wai soon contacted the base and left Wo with a letter to contact him before leaving.
Wai insisted on participating in a dangerous task of bombing the Japanese base.
Everyone waited for a long time at the airport, Wai did not return, many people think that he may have sacrificed. However, Wo believes Wai will definitely come back and insist on cleaning up the runway to meet Wai’s triumph, which also touched Wai’s mother. Finally, Wai returns.
